Summit avenged a previous buzzer beater loss to Oratory with, arguably, their best game of the season. Summit was on fire both offensively and defensively and finished the 3rd quarter with an insurmountable 20 point lead. The last quarter consisted primarily of Oratory fouling in hopes of Summit missing from the foul line. However, the Hilltoppers were awesome, draining 18 of their 22 attempts. It wasn't that Oratory didn't go all out offensively in that final quarter. They poured in six 3-pointers in the final 8 minutes. Their #14 hit 5 straight treys, matching his 4th quarter in Oratory's earlier victory at the buzzer.
Ba'Shawn Mickens scored his season high 33 points, including going a perfect 8 for 8 from the foul line in the final quarter. He also had the game high 9 rebounds. Jon Mendez scored 15. As a whole, Summit hit a season high 48% from the field.
