This was a real heartbreaker for Summit. The Hilltoppers took a surprising 11-4 1st quarter lead and increased their lead to 9 points over the next two quarters. However, in the final stanza, Roselle Catholic steadily closed the gap to 31-30 via an 11-3 run. With 17 seconds left, Roselle Catholic drained a free throw to tie the game. Summit's attempt to score failed and Roselle Catholic drove the final spike into Summit's heart with a rebound layup at the buzzer.
