Summit, led by Nicole Johnson's 16 first half points, grabbed a 10 point lead at the half. Kelly Osmulski also had 9 of her game high 19 points in the first half. Summit maintained that 10 point lead entering the 4th quarter. Scotch Plains started to chip away at the lead in the final quarter. With the clock under a minute, Scotch Plains got within 3 points at 50-47. As games often do, the final minutes came down to who could make the free throws. This time Summit was perfect down the stretch. At :37 seconds Osmulski made both ends both of a one and one. Scotch plains came back with a field goal and a free throw to make the score 52-50 with 26 seconds remaining. However, Kate Martino drained 4 free throws in a row to clinch the victory. While Martino was held to 11 points, she made 3 great assists in the 4th quarter to help keep Summit on top.
