Glen Ridge traveled to Summit for the first time in years. It was a pleasure to see a well played game. Neither team commited an error and Summit lefty, Sean Guida, pitched a masterful game. He allowed only 1 hit and struck out 11 over the seven innings.
Summit took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Cam Fuoti and Justin Vitti Both singled to start the inning. After one out, Andrew George ripprd a single that drove in Fuoti and Vitti. That was all the scoring that Summit would need for the victory. Glen Ridge threatened in the 7th when a pair of walks put runners on 1st and 2nd with one out, The next batter lofted a tall flyball to right. Andrew Aguilara hauled it in. The runner tagged up at second and headed for third. A nice throw by Aguilara beat the runner for the last out of the game.
