| Summit traveled to Madison to take an old Suburban Conference foe, and last year's Sectional champs . Summit struck first in the third innning. Kyle Brown got the inning started with a single, Mike Bredahl was safe on an error and Andrew George, whose bat has really come alive lately, singled to drive in Brown. Summit added 2 more in the fourth. Cam Fuoti had a lead off single Andrew Aguilera was safe via an error, Brown sacrificed them into scoring position and Bredahl singled to drive them both home.
Madison finally got on the board with a run in the bottom of the 4th to make the score 3-1. Summit's final 2 run came the the 5th. Lead off hitter Nick Abbott singled, Justin Vitti was walked and Tanner Fulton laid down a nice sacrifice bunt to move them to 2nd and 3rd. A Guida single scored one run and a ground ball by Aguilera drove in the second. Madison scored a run in the 5th and a run in the 6th, so the lead was reduced to 5-3 going into the bottom of the 7th.
Sean Guida had started and pitched 2 scoreless innings. Cam Fuoti pitched the next 4 innings and was credited with the "W". Rob Carbone came as the closer in the 7th inning He got the first batter to line our to Guida and then struck out the final two batters.
