Summit took on North Plainfield under the lights at the Summit's artificial turf field. Most of the game was played with a mist/drizzle of rain with the temperature a little above 50 degrees. John Floegel took the mound and pitched the first 4 innings allowing only 3 hits, 1 run and stiking out 6. Alec Fuoti pitched the final 3 innings of no-hit ball.

Summit struck early in the 1st inning. Nick Abbott led off with a single, stole second, and scored on a Sean Guida single. Those two would go on to have as big night at the plate. Abbott went 3 for 4, 3 runs on 2 singles and a triple. Guida was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI. Mike Bredahl went 2 for 3 with a run.

Summit added a run in the 3rd when Abbot led off with a triple and scored on a Justin Vitti sacrifice fly. In the 4th, With two outs, David Berardi and Mike Bredahl were on base via a walk and a single. Abbott singled to load the bases. Vitti was walked to force in a run. Tanner Fulton hit a shot to right field that was muffed by the outfielder and 3 runs scored. Guida had his 3rd straight single that moved Fulton to 3rd. Guida stole 2nd and Floegel hit a ground ball that trapped Guida between 2nd and third. He was eventually put out in a run down but held out long enough that Fulton scored before Guida was tagged out.
