Summit took on its neighbor Oratory in the final game of the regular season. It was a beautiful day for baseball iwith the tmerature in the mid 70's and only a gentle breeze. Oratory threw it side-arm throwing pitcher. This was the first side arm pitcher Summit faced all season and he really had Summit mystified, allowing only four scattered hits over the 6 2/3 innings he pitched.

Summit entered the bottom of the 7th down 2-0. After a leadoff strikeout, Andrew George was hit by the pitcher. The next batter struck out and Summit was down to one out. Justin Vitti was also hit by the pitcher. to put the tieing run on base. Tanner Fulton drew a walk to load the bases with two out. Sean Guida hit a sharp single to drive in Gearge and Vitti and tie the score. Cam Fuoti fell behind 1 and 2, but on the next pitch, singled to drive in Fulton for another "walk-off" victory for the Hilltoppers.

Summit will host Nutley on Monday in the first round of the State tournament.
