Sean Guida took command of the game from the very start as he struke out the side in the first inning. He went on to strike out 8 of the first 12 batters he faced. Meanwhile Nick Abbott singled to start the bottom of the first, Andrew George was safe on a error, A double by Tanner Fulton, a single by Sean Guida and a sacrifice fly by John Folgel resuled in 4 run for the hilltoppers.
In the bottom of the 4th Andrew Aguilara walked,Mike Bredahl was hit by the pitcher and Abbott walked to load the bases. A double by George, singles by Fulton, Guida and Flogel was followed biy a double from Cam Fuoti. Thill scored 7 more runs and the victory.
Guida gave up only 2 hits and struck out 10 batters in a 5 inning "Mercy" game.
