Thursday, Apr 4,   10:00AM  Home Rahway  Won 6-5.  Showing Andy Pettite-type moxie, sophomore lefty starting pitcherMichael Maldonado allowed just two hits and one unearned run with 7 strikeouts over four innings in Summit's home opener victory.  Summit's offense was led by outfielder Kyle Brown who went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs.
Saturday, Apr 6,   4:00PM  Away Linden  Won 8-1.  Steady pitching was again key in Summit's second win for the season over Linden.  Starting pitcher Michael Brown and reliever Brian Cantillo combined to limit Linden to 1 run.  Spearheading Summit's offense wereAlec Fuoti and Michael Maldonado who each went 3 for 4.
Tuesday, Apr 9,   4:00PM  Away Plainfield  Won 12-0.  Summit hitters combined for 15 hits over 5 innings in this lopsided victory at Plainfield.  Summit pitcher Alec Fuoti added another fine pitching effort tossing a 3-hit shutout.
Friday, Apr 20 4:00PM  Away Abraham Clark Won 14-0.  Remaining undefeated, Summit overwhelmed Abraham Clark (Roselle) with 14 runs over 5 innings. Sam Griffith and Michael Maldonado led the offensive barrage (each going 3 for 4) with hits added by Brian Cantillo, Michael Brown, David Meyers, Hunter Miller and Charlie Pacilio.  Summit's steady pitching continued with starter Brian Cantillo and relievers Sam Griffith and Jake Mokuvos shutting down Roselle.
Monday, Apr 22,   4:00PM  Away Governor Livingston  Lost 4-3.  Errors and baserunning lapses were the culprits in Summit's first loss for the season.  Summit lefty pitcher Michael Maldonado provided another strong pitching effort against a strong Governor Livingston lineup allowing just 2 hits and 2 unearned runs over 5 innnings, but it was not enough to overcome Summit errors which permitted GL to take control of the game with a 3-run third inning.  Jake Mokuvos continued his hot hitting getting 2 hits, with additional hits provided by Alec FuotiMichael Brown and David Meyers.  With a runner at third base, Summit had a chance to tie the game in the top of the 6th inning but a controversial pickoff call ended the inning.  
Wednesday, Apr 24,   4:00PM  Away Arthur L. Johnson  Lost 6-5.  A see-saw battle in Clark ended in the bottom of the 7th inning with A.L. Johnson breaking a 5-5 tie to get the win.  In a highly entertaining game with the lead changing several times, Kyle Brown's 2-run RBI double in the fourth inning and additional hits by Brian Cantillo and Jack Legoffprovided Summit's offense.  Summit starting pitcher Jack Legoff went 5 innings allowing 5 runs on 9 hits.  Summit reliever Jake Mokuvos took the loss allowing Clark's winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning. 
Saturday, Apr 27, TBD  Away UCT Tournament  vs Johnson Lost 12-5.  In an immediate rematch, Summit again came up short to A.L. Johnson (Clark).  Walks and errors were Summit's undoing in this game with Summit pitchers giving up a total of 12 walks and allowing Clark to post an early 5-0 lead.  Summit, however, did manage to make a game of it closing a 8-3 deficit to 8-5 in top of the 5th inning with timely hitting by Hunter MillerDavid Meyers and Kyle Kanaly.  But subsequent scoring by Clark based on free passes by Summit pitching allowed Clark to clinch the victory.
Tuesday, Apr 30,   4:00PM  Away Rahway  Won 8-0.  Anxious to halt a 3-game losing streak, Summti stormed back with a shut-out victory over Rahway.  Leading Summit was pitcher Michael Brown who tosed 6 strong, shut-out innings.  Run support was provided by Michael Maldonado who went 3 for 3 including a double and Sam Griffith,Alec Fuoti and David Meyers providing two-baggers as well.
Thursday, May 2,   7:00PM  Home New Providence  Lost 13-12, In a slugfest between both teams, Summit lost to New Providence 13-12. Erasing a 8-1 deficit after 4 innings played, Summit rallied for 4 in the 5th inning and 5 in 6th inning to take a 10-8 lead. Summit added 10 hits, including a triple by Alec Fuoti,  to multiple walks and fielding errors by New Providence. New Providence struck back scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take a 13-10 lead. Summit closed the gap to 13-12 in top of the 7th but, could not capitalize further with the bases loaded with 1 out.
Saturday, May 4,   7:00PM  Away Parsippany Lost 6-4, Summit surrendered a 4-1 lead after a strong effort by Jake Mokuvos through 4 innings. Parsippany narrowed the lead to 4-3 and took control of the game in the bottom of 6th score 3 additional runs with timely hits and a few costly fielding errors. Kyle Kanaley had 2 hits and several put-outs playing third base.
Monday, May 6,   4:00PM  Home Scotch Plains-Fanwood  Lost 4-1, A very well played game vs. local powerhouse Scotch Plains. Summit trailed 2-1 through 6 innings. Alec Fuoti pitched a very strong game giving up just two runs through 6 innings. Despite many hard hit balls, the Hilltoppers recorded only one hit against Scotch Plains pitching. Entering the 7th inning down 2-1, Summit yielded 2 additional runs before closing out the game. 
Tuesday, May 7,   4:00PM  Home Plainfield  Won 11-0, Similar results with previous Plainfield game with a mercy ending after 5 innings. Summit batters scored 11 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to back up pitcher Jake Mokuvos. Michael Maldonado Maldonado went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI's, Robby Ferris went 2 for 2 with a walk and Sam Griffith also added 2 hits to key the offensive onslaught. Solid defensive play helped keep Plainfield off the Board.
Monday, May 13,   4:00PM  Home Union  Lost 17-9 Leading 4-0 after 3 innings against a strong Union team, the Hilltopper defense yielded 6 fielding errors in top of the 4th inning to surrender 10 runs to Union. Summit rallied to score 5 runs in the bottom of the 5 & 6 innings, closing the gap to 10-9. Union pulled away again scoring 7 runs to close out the victory.
Tuesday, May 14,   4:00PM  Home Abraham Clark  Won 12-1 In a second mercy game of the year against Roselle, Summit batters scored early and often against Roselle pitching in a shortened game.
Thursday, May 16,   4:00PM  Away Cardinal McCarrick Won 15-2 In Summit's final game of the season, Summit won its 5th "mercy" victory of the year against Cardinal McCarrick from South Amboy. Highlights included 2 home runs: a grand slam by Alec Fuoti and a 3-run home run by Charlie Pacilio.
