The stands were packed for the North 2 Group 3 Sectional Semifinal game with Parsippany Hills. Summit got an early shock when The Vickings stuffed Summit 3 and out to start the game. They then took the Summit punt and drove 69 yards in 9 plays to take a 6-0 lead. Again Par Hills forced a Summit punt., but this time the Summit defense held and forced a punt. Summit got on the scoreboard when Mike Badgley went deep to Will Shamim for a 62 yard TD. Badgley kicked the extra point and Summit had a 7-6 lead as the quarter ended. Mid way through the 2nd quarter Summit mounted a 62 yard drive powered mostly by the running of AJ iarussi and Badgley. The drive was kept alive by a 4th down pass to Kyre Negron that gave Summit a 1st down. On second down Badgley raced 25 yards, behind some nice downfield blocking, to score. The half ended 14-6, a very tenuous lead.

On the first play of the 2nd half Shamim intercepted a Par Hills pass at their 21. On 2nd down Negron took the ball 16 yards to the 4, Iarussi moved it to the 2 and Badgley covered the last 2 yard. Suddenly Summit was in the driver's seat 21-6. Shamim stopped Par Hills' next drive when he grabbed his 2nd interception, in Summit territory. Two plays later Badgley hit Iarussi on a short pass and Iarussi proceeded to run through the entire Par Hills defense on his way to a 75 yd TD. That score pretty much put the game away. A 27 yard FG in the 4th quarter by Badgley made the score 30-6. Parsippany Hill would go on to score a late game TD.

Connor O'Malley had a very big defensive game with 11 tackles , 4 for a loss, and was in on 3 sacks. Shamim had 4 tackles and 2 interception to go with his 62 TD reception.

Summit will play Palisades Park in the Sectional Finals next Saturday at 4PM in Met Life Stadium
