Summit exploded with big plays in the first half. On the 2nd play of the game Mike Badgley raced 55 yards to the Rahway 10 and then kicked a 29 yard field goal. On Summit's 3rd possession Badgley broke loose for 57 yards and a TD to make the score 9-0, The first quarter scoring was capped when the ball was snapped over the Rahway punter's head, resulting in a safety.

On the first play of the 2nd quarter, Will Shamim intercepted a pass on the Summit 5 yard line and returned it 34 yards to the 39. On the very next play Kyre Negron hauled in a pass from Tyler Carbone and went 66 yards for a TD. Summit's next possession started from Summit's 4 yard line. Runs by AJ Iarussi and Badgley gained a 1st down at the the 21. Tyler Carbone connected with Negron for 29 yards and Badgley hit Shamim for a 50 yard TD and the score stood at 25-0. Rahway got on the scoreboard when a Summit fumble was returned 26 yards. However, on the ensuing kick off Negron had a spectacular run and returned the kick 85 yards for yet another TD. Before the end of the half Rahway sobered up the giddy Summit fans by marching 78 yards in 6 plays to score to show that they should not be counted out.

In the 2nd half Summit turned completely to is running game. On its 2nd possession of the half Summit pounded out 74 yards drive on 12 plays. The majority of the yards were gained by Iarussi and Negron with Iarussi bulling his way into the end zone for the final 2 yards. Rahway showed they still had some life by driving to a firdt down at the Summit 20. Nick Watts put an end to the drive with a great interception in the end zone. Rahway eventually scored once more in the 4th quarter.

Colm Dougherty led the defense with 12 tackles and a sack.
