Hillside avenged its earlier loss to Summit on a layup with 2 seconds left. Hillside got off to a fast start with a 21 point first quarter. With the inside shot stiffled by Robby Walsh, Hillside turned to the outside shot. Unfortunately they were succesful as they drained four 3-pointers to take a four point lead. A three at the 2nd quarter buzzer by Ba'Shawn Mickens brought Summit to within one point. Summit finally took a 5 point lead, aided by Mickens' 9 points, going into the 4th quarter.
The Summit fans began to feel more comfortable midway in the 4th quarter as the lead grew to six. However, 7 quick points by Hillside put them ahead by 1 at the 3 minute mark. A pair of FGs by Mickens and one by Matt Fischetti put Summit back on top with 1:33 left. With 9.2 seconds on the clock Summit went to the foul line with a one point lead and a 1-and-1. Sadly, we missed the front end. Hillside caught Summit off guard and managed an easy layup to win the game. Mickens got off a 3 point shot at buzzer, but it didn't go down.
Mickens led all scorers with 26, Mac Wiesner (11 points) and Ryan Sweeny (10) points were in double digits. Wiesner had 14 rebounds.
