Summit vs Memorial 2/19/2013
 1st 2nd 3rd 4th TOTAL
Summit 4 10 16 21 51
Memorial 16 14 12 22 64
Summit took on Memorial HS of West NY without the services of two key starters. Ba'Shawn Mickens and Mac Wiesner were sick with the flu. What's more Ryan Sweeney suffered an eye injury and had to miss most of the 2nd half. As a result many of the bench players had to assume different roles. Instead of coming into the game as relief for the starters, they had to become starters looking to score, rather than feed others. It took awhile to settle into a new team dynamic. On the plus side it provided a good look at players that will be key to next year's team.

Things got off to a rocky start as Summit scored on only 4 of their 21 attempts in the first half and Memorial took an easy 30-14 lead. However, Summit improved its play in each quarter as the team became more comfortable in new roles. In fact, Summit out scored Memorial in the 2nd half and the score might have been a lot closer if it hadn't been for Memorials Jamal Aqurto. He went on a tear , scoring 26 of his game high 33 point in 2nd half. 17 points in the 4th quarter alone.

It was encouraging to get a better look at Kyle Crotty (11 Points) and Pete Cummins (7 points) who will play a big role next year. Robby Walsh had yet another double-double with a team high 14 points and 12 rebounds

Summit will play its final regular season game against Hunterdon Central @home on Thursday at 7PM.
