Summit hosted its first Holiday Tournament in a number years and came off with a victory over Nutley. Although it took an overtime session to nail down the victory. Over the first three quarters Summit steadily built a 6 point lead and entered the final 8 minutes ahead 38-32. The scoring was lead by Ba'Shawn Mickens with 17 points and Ryan Sweeney with 14 points. The overtime was all Summit as they held Nutley scoreless while scoring nine points , all on free throws. Sweeney hit three and Mickens, Robbie Walsh and Miesner each contributed two. Mickens (27 points) and Sweeny (17 points) were both in double digits and Walsh, as usual, was the leading rebounder with 11. Summit Summit will meet Morristown on Friday at 7PM on Friday in Tournament final. Morristown is 4-0 with victories over Roxbury, Chatham, Princeton and Lincoln. |
