Saturday May 18 Noon Home NJSAA 1st Round Vs. Passaic Valley Won 18-0 Summit's dominance was eveident in the first 12 minutes. Brian Hadley won the opening face off and Summit scored. Then Hadley won the face off again and Summit scored again. This cycle was repeated eleven consecutive times through out the first quarter. Every time Passaic Valley picked up a loose they turned it over before crossing the center line. The posession by Summit was almost complete. For example, for most of the quarter the three Summit defense men and the three Passiac Valley Attackers had nothing to do and stood around in a group chatting.

Summit took its foot off the throttle in the second quarter, scoring only 6 goals. The whole second half was played with a running clock (Lacrosse's version of the mercy rule). Summit cleared its bench and even JV players got some playing time. Scott Caputo was goalie in the 1st half did not need to make a save. Sam Bebout took over in the 2nd half and only had to make 1 save to preserve the shutout.

Many in the stands, although happy with the victory, felt sorry for Passiac Valley's over matched team.
