Andrew Masterfano was our assist leader with 31 and Chris Chen held up the defensewith 5 digs. Andrew Masterfano also led the team in service points with 14.

Andrew Masterfano served 4 great service points in a row to get us to 19 and then Nick Neuenschwander took over the game holding serve for 6 more points and the win. Game two was a back and forth affair with Pope John taking the lead 23-21. Ethan Chivers took over the serve with us down by 1 and then served 4 points in a row for the win and our second comeback. Ethan also had 5 stunning kills. Eric Lyman stepped up big filling in for Robbie Walsh with 3 kills and 1 block. Senior James Reach played all 6 positions, for the first time this season, and was second only to Ethan Chivers in kills with 5. Ben Colao played great at the net with 4 huge blocks and 5 kills. Charlie Terry had 4 kills, a big time block and 2 assists. Chris Chen had 3 service points and 7 digs while Josh Veloso had 2 service points and 5 digs.

Won 2-1 The boys’ varsity team stunned #15 in the state Vernon on Friday winning 2-1. The boys lost the first game 14-25, but then came back to win a nail bitter 28-26. In the third game the offense took over and we won 25-20. This was a total team effort and the seniors: Ethan Chivers, Nick Neuenschwander, James Reach and Chris Chen, should be very proud to be the first team to beat Vernon.

Won 2-0 Summit had an up and down match against first year program Elizabeth, but managed to pull out a win 2-0. They won the first game 25-13 and the second game 25-19. Ethan Chivers & Robbie Walsh tied for the most kills with 4. James Reach took over the service line earning 13 points. Andrew Masterfano put up 11 assists and Josh Veloso was solid on the back line with 7 digs. Robbie Walsh once again controlled the net with 3 blocks.

| Tuesday, Apr 30 | 4:00PM | Home | Harrison | Won 2-0 Summit beat Jersey City Invitational champions Harrison today 2-0. They won the first game 25-19 after being down 6-1. The boys won the second game 25-21. We were led by another outstanding performance from Ethan Chivers. Chivers had 8 kills, 12 service points,6 digs, 1 block and 2 assists. Robbie Walsh once again completely shut down the other team's offense with 4 blocks, as well as helping our own offense with 5 kills. Andrew Masterfano cameup big with 14 assists, 2 blocks, 4 digs, 5 service points and 3 aces. All this while hobbling around on a sprained ankle! Chris Chen & Josh Veloso played "stone wall" defense with 9 digs each. James Reach added 7 more service points and Charlie Terry added 3 kills, 1 block and 1assist to their season totals. Senior captain Nick Neuenschwander kept us in the game with his 8 digs and 5 service points.
However, there are two players who do not often pile up the stats, but who make huge plays at key moments in the game. The players of the game today were Ben Colao and Eric Lyman. Colao had 3 kills, 1 block, and 1 dig, while Lyman had 2 kills, 1 block and 1 assist.

Robbie Walsh dominated the front court with 3 blocks. 1 block, and 1 dig, while Eric Lyman had 2 kills, 1 block and 1 assist.
