Johnson made the most its 7 hits, while Summit couldn’t find the hits at the right time and stranded an amazing 13 runner. Four of Johnson’s 6 runs were unearned.

Charlie Pacillio got the starting assignment on the mound. He tagged for 2 unearned runs in the 3rd and two more, also unearned, in the 4th. To start the 5th Sophomore Alex Crane, brought up from the JVs, took the mound in relief. Unfortunately, Crane struggled with his control and gave up a run on four walks. Mike Maldonado took over and got the 3rd out of the inning. Maldonado pitched the final 2 innings.

Summit’s only runs came in the 5th and sixth innings. With Cam Fuoti on base, and two out, back to back single by Sean Guida and John Floegel produced Summit’s first run. David Berardi led off the 6th with a double, took 3rd on a wild pitch and scored on David Meyers’ infield out.
