Montclair played their first regular season game against Summit in many years. The Montclair pitcher didn’t seam to be special. However, he managed to contain the Summit hitters during his first five innings. He had only one strike out, but gave up only 1 walk. Whatever he had caused 6 pop-up outs and only 3 hits (all singles) in 5 innings. He tired in the 6th giving up 2 runs on 2 singles and a error before turning the ball over to the reliever, who held Summit scoreless.

Alec Fuoti had his stuff going for 6 innings, allowing four runs, only 2 of them earned. He struck out 7 and only allowed 2 walks. Unfortunately, his pitch count hit 100 at the end of the 6th inning. Brian Cantillo came in to pitch the final inning. Cantillo pitched well, but was charged with one unearned run that resulted from an error, a single and a sacrifice fly..

Summit’s scored its only 2 runs in the 6th inning. Andrew Aguilera was safe on a error, Then after one out Tanner Fulton singled and John Floegel singled to drive in Aguilera and Floegel.
