The weather was great for baseball, Scotch Plain’s field was well groomed and Summit came home with a 5-3 win. The pitching staff combined for a solid victory. Sean Guida started and pitched 3 fine inning allowing only 2 hits, no runs and striking out three. Cam Fuoti pitched the next 3 innings. allowing no earned runs and two strikeouts. John Floegel pitched the last inning, allowed no runs and only one hit.

Summit took the lead in the top of the first when Guida led off with a double, moved to third on Aguilera's ground out and scored on Cam Fuoti’s sacrifice fly. Summit upped the score to to 3-0 in the 3rd inning. Alec Fuoti doubled to start the inning, got to third on an error that put Kyle Brown on 1st, and scored on a nice Guida bunt. A single by by Cam Fuoti scored Brown.

Scotch Plains tied the score on three unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth. However, the Hilltoppers regained the lead in the top of the 6th. Hunter Miller and Brian Cantillo were walked and Alec Fuoti singled to score Miller and move Cantillo to 3rd. Brown’s sacrifice fly drove in Cantillo.
