The Hilltoppers took on Barrenger of Newark in a quarterfinal game. Barrenger started impressively and took a quick 7-2 lead. But Summit took control and out scored Barranger 30 to 14 through the end of the 3rd quarter. Summit kept the momentum going in the 4th quarter as Robbie Walsh scored 9 points in the quarter and Pete Cummings scored 6 points, to overwhelm Barranger. Walsh was a force, scoring 19 points and dominating in the paint with 13 rebounds. Mac Wiesner scored 10 points and Cummings had 9 points and played his strongest game of the season. Summit broke it 3 point drought, scoring on 3 of 7 attempts. Summit will take on Colonia in the Sectional Semifinal. It willbe playe at Summit on Friday.
