Dayton opened with an aggressive zone defense and raced to a 8-0 lead. Summit turnovers and missed shots provided the opportunity. Summit battled back with 13-2 run, paced by Robbie Walsh’s, 8 points, and ended the half with a 21-19 lead. The 3rd quarter continued to be a hard struggle but Summit slowly extended the lead to 29-25 entering the final quarter. However, the 4th quarter started with 8 unanswered points (field goals by Walsh, Matt Fischetti and Mac Wiesner and two free throws by Wayne Wong). That gave Summit a 12 point lead and put the game away.
Walsh was major force for Summit with another double double (13 points and 14 rebounds). Wiesner was also in double digits with 10 points. Summit had a good game at the foul line, hitting on 13 of 16 attempts
