Saturday, Jun 7 TBD  Away TBA TOC Finals vs. Moorestown Lost 8-6 It was perfect weather for Summit to take on the powerful Moorestown team, who always seems to be the team to beat in the TOC finals. Summit had a great first half. Although Moorestown scored first, Liv Kelly tied the score at 18:38 and Sara Szynal made it 2-1 two minutes later. The Summit euphoria was stifled when Moorestown responded with 2 goals in the next two minutes to regain the lead with 15 minutes left in the half. With 9:49 left Kelly tied the game on a penalty shot. A minute and a half Szynal made a beautiful fake behind the gage and curled around to score. Szynal scored her third goal a few minutes later and Summit ended the half ahead 5-3. The Summit fans were in high spirits as the 2nd half began.

But it was not to be. Four minutes into the 2nd half Moorestown’s McCool took over the game. Over the next 4 minutes she poured in 4 goals to grab a 7-5 and completely change the momentum of the game. Moorestown scored again at the 13:00 mark to take a commanding 8-5 lead. Catherine Cordrey would score one more goal for Summit.

So a truly great season for Summit came to an end with a loss to the strong Moorestown team.
