Summit out hit Pingry but it was tough to overcome the 10 Pingry batters who got on base via being walked or hit by the pitcher. Six of the ten Pingry runs scored were by batters who walked or were hit.
Summit took a a 2 run lead in the 1st on a leadoff single by Kyle Brown, a double by Matt Murdock a sacrifice fly by Alwc Fuoti and a Will Schaffer double. However, Pingry answered with five runs in the bottom of the 1st.
Summit tied thing up with a 3 runs in the 2nd. Singles by Alex Crane, Robby Faris, Brown and Murdock and a sacrifice fly by Cam Fuoti produced a tie ball game. Summit and Pingry exchanged runs in the bottom of the 3rd and the top of the 4th. Summit’s run came when Brown had his third single , stole 2nd and scored on two wild pitches.
That was the end of the scoring for Summit and Pringry clinched the win with 4 more runs in the bottom of the 4th.
