Summit scored 2 quick runs in the 1st inning and it looked like Summit might be headed for an easy win like their first meeting. With Alec Fuoti on the mound Roselle Catholic surprised everyone by tagging Fuoti for three runs and the lead. However, A. Fuoti took command. Over the next 4 innings he allowed no runs and 2 hits. He also struck out 6. After 5 innings Fuoti’s pitch count was at 84 and Alex Crane took over the pitching duties. Crane allowed only one hit in the final two innings and struck out four. Meanwhile Summit scored 12 more runs during the final 5 innings to easily win.
