For summit this was a “must win” game. A victory over Summit would clinch the Conferece title for Roselle Park. Alec Fuoti was the starting pitcher and went 5 innings and gave up only 3 hits and 2 runs. His pitch count hit 99 at the end of 5 innings and Charlie Pacilio took over in the 6th with the score tied 2-2. Roselle Park managed to score one run in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead. Summit failed to score in the top of the 7th and Roselle Park clinched the Conference title.
Summit took a one run lead in the first when Kyle Brown, Matt Murdock and Cam Fuoti had consecutive singles. Roselle Park answered with a run in the third. Summit regained the lead with a run in the top of the fifth. Murdock singled, stole 2nd and scored on C. Fuoti’s single. Again Roselle Park scored in the bottom of the 5th to tie the game at 2-2. A Roselle Park run in the bottom of the 6th clinched the win for RP.
