Gov. Livingston started strong and Summit couldn’t seem to find the hoop. The result was a 12 point lead for GL at the end of the 1st quarter. Summit played the final 3 quarters fairly even with the Highlanders, getting as close as six points before falling back. Summit came out in the second half with a serious pressure defense and it rattled GL quite a bit, but Summit was unable to close the gap.
Gov. Livingston’s 6' 8" center was a force to be reckoned with. Not only was strong in the paint, he also had a nice 3-point shot and finished with 18 points. Summit’s shooting was off as they hit on only 15 of 47 attempts (32%), Summit’s free throw shooting was better, scoring 16 points out of 20 free throws.
Jordon Gonzales was the the only Hilltopper in double digits with 12 points, 8 of those points coming on 8 of 10 free throws.
