Summit got off to a sluggish start against the Livingston Lancers and fell behind 12-8 in the first quarter. Summit chipped away at the deficit over the next two quarters behind three 3-pointers from Will Schafer and 8 points from Patrick Maloney. As a result, the 4th quarter started with Summit behind by one, 39-38.
Xavier McCormick got the final quarter off to a good start with a three pointer to give Summit a 41-39 lead. The lead changed three times before free throws by Schafer and a pair of field goals by Jordan Conzalez gave Summit the lead for good 49-43 with 4 minutes left. Two more FGs by Gonzales and two key free throws by Wayne Wong helped Summit maintain their lead.
Summit had three players in double digits: Schafer (14 points), Gonzalez (13 points) and Maloney (12 points).
