Summit easily broke its three game losing streak with a solid victory over Roselle, Will Schaffer got things started by draining his first 3 three-point attempts as Summit took an 18-8 lead in the 1st quarter. Summit extended the lead to 14 points in the 2nd quarter, with 5 different players contributing point, including another trey by Schaffer. Summit employed an up tempo trapping defense during most of the game and it was very effective. Summit added another 5 points to their lead in the 3rd quarter, primarily by sinking 9 of their 13 free throws while the defense limited Roselle to 8 total points. With the game out of reach Summit substituted freely and 7 different players contributed points in the 4th quarter.
Roselle's inability to sink free throws contributed significantly to their troubles. They missed all 8 of their 1st quarter attempts. For the game they only sank 5 of their 21 chances.
Will Schaffer led the Summit scoring with 17 points. Wayne Wong and Jordon Gonzales each contributed 11 points. Gonzales and Patrick Mahoney each had 8 rebounds.
