Friday, Mar 27 4:00PM  Away Montclair  Won 16-5 Summit again rolled to a crushing 9-2 lead in the first half and coasted to an easy victory. Sara Szynal collected five goals, Samantha Forsyth scored three and Catherine Cordrey found the back of the net twice. Maggie Moriarity had an amazing 6 assists plus a goal.

Julia Harkins, Callie Humphrey, Cecily Stabler, Isabel Zachara and Julia Persche also hit for Summit. Kady Glynn(4) and Maddie Collins(1) combined to make five saves for Summit

Thursday, Apr 2 4:00PM  Away Oak Knoll  Lost 14-10 The Hilltoppers jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind goals from Sara Szynal, who had a hat trick, and Julia Persche, but Oak Knoll quickly responded with four straight goals. Oak Knoll scored within a minute after Olivia Kelly had cut Summit's deficit to 4-3 with 17:53 left. Oak Knoll out scored Summit 6-2 before the half ended 10-5.

The second half saw Oak Knoll winning most of the draws to make things tough for the Hilltoppers. Oak Knoll built a 14-6 before Summit ran off 4-0 run behind goals from Isabel Zachara, Szynal and two goals from Cordrey, but it was too late. Kady Glynn finished with seven saves.

Won 14-6 Summit carried a slim 4-3 lead into the 2nd half, but dominated the 2nd half with 10 goals. Olivia Kelly and Sara Szynal each scored three goals to lead Summit over No. 11 Chatham.

     Monday, Apr 13 4:00PM  Away Ridgewood  Lost 9-8 Ridgewood, No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, met No. 3 Summit at Ridgewood. Summit took 4-3 lead into halftime. However, Ridge rallied to win 9-8. Ridgewood improved to 8-0 with the win, while Summit dropped to 5-2.

    Catherine Cordrey led Summit with two goals and an assists, while Callie Humphrey had one goal and 2 assists. Sara Szynal, Julie Harkins, Emily Kalin, Liv Kelly and Maggie Moriariy each scored once. Kady Glynn finished with eight saves.

     Saturday, May 2 12:00PM  Home Good Counsel (MD) Lost 13-12 Summit hosted Good Counsil of Maryland and it was an exciting battle down to the end. Summit received three goals from Sara Szynal (1 assist) and Catherine Cordrey. Julia Persche and Julia Harkins added two goals apiece. Callie Humphrey and Cecily Stabler each scored once. Maggie Moriarty and Samantha Forsyth each had 2 assists while Kady Glynn made six saves.
    Thursday, May 7 4:00PM  Home Union County Tournament semifinal vs Westfield Won 10-5 Summit was down 4-3 at the half, but dominated the 2nd half 7-1. Sara Szynal scored four goals to lead second-seed Summit. Catherine Cordery (1 assist) and Julia Persche added 2 goals each. Julia Harkins and Callie Humphrey each scored a goal. Maggie Moriarty had an assist. Kady Glynn had 9 save in goal.

    Won 10-8 Top-seeded Oak Knoll peppered Kady Glynn with 20 shots and she turned away 12 of them as No. 5 Summit, seeded fifth, claimed its seventh straight Union County Tournament championship.

    While Glynn handled the play in the cage,Catherine Cordrey and Sara Szynal got things done on offense. Szynal scored a game-high five goals, while Cordrey scored four times. Samantha Forsyth scored once.

    After falling behind, 2-1, with 18:45 left, the Hilltoppers scored three straight to take a 4-2 lead with 11:55 left in the first. Szynal struck twice and Forsyth scored during the surge. Summit would not let the lead slip away. Summit then scored two straight, as Szynal completed her hat trick and Cordrey scored her second to pull ahead, 6-3, with 2:47 left.

    Cordrey and Szynal each scored twice in the second half to allow Summit to maintain its lead.

    Won 17-2 Sara Szynal, Julia Persche, & Callie Humprey all potted hat tricks to lead Summit, No. 3 in NJ.com Top 20, over Lenape Valley, 17-2, in the first round of the North Jersey, Group 2 Tournament in Summit. Julia Harkins and Audrey Hannigan added two goals apiece for Summit. Kady Glynn only had to make 1 save.
    Tuesday, May 19 4:00PM  TBD NJSIAA Sectional quarterfinals vs. Cranford
    Won 21-6 Sara Szynal scored four goals along with four assists to lead top-seeded Summit, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20, over eighth-seeded Cranford in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Group 2 tournament.

    Leading 12-6 at the half, Summit held Cranford scoreless while scoring another nine goals in the second half.

    Julia Persche added three goals and three assists for Summit. Maggie Moriarty finished with three goals and two assists. Samantha Forsyth had three goals. Catherine Cordrey (1 assist), Julia Harkins, Callie Humphrey, and Helen Johnson each scored once. Helen Morano had an assist. Kady Glynn saved 11.

  • Thursday, May 21 4:00PM  TBD NJSIAA Sectional Semi Final VS. Bernards Won 14-4 Summit (the top seed) piled up a 10-0 lead in the first half and coasted to an easy victory. Catherine Cordrey scored four goals when top-seeded Summit defeated fourth-seeded Bernards in the semifinal round of the North Jersey, Group 2 tournament.

    Sara Szynal had three goals and one assist, while Samantha Forsyth and Callie Humphrey had two goals apiece for Summit. Maggie Moriarty (3 assists), Isabel Zachara (1 assist) and Julia Pershe each had a goal. Kady Glynn recorded nine saves

    Won 13-7 Summit won the Group 2 Championship after suffering 2 long weather delays. in fact, the final 2:42 of the were scrubbed.

    Freshman Helen Johnson got Summit off to a powerful start after putting away two goals in the first three minutes on assists from junior Maggie Moriarty. Johnson would end up with 3 goals. Sara Szynal led the Summit scoring with 5 goals and an assist. Catherine Cordery had two goals and 2 assists.

    Iasbel Zachara (1 assist), Callie Humpfrey and Julia Persche eacch score once. Kady Glynn had 4 saves.

    Univ.
    NJSIAA Group Championship vs. Rumson Won 12-5 Summit took on Rumson-Fair Haven for the Group 2 Championship. Rumson came into the game having lost only once and that was to the always powerfull Moorestown in a very close game. Summit set the tone of the game when Sara Szynal scored twice in the first 3 minutes. When Helen Johnson scored at 13:31 Summit was up 3-0 and things were looking good. However, two minutes later Rumson scored its first goal, won the face off and scored again, all in the space of 6 seconds. How quickly things change! With 1:30 left Maggie Moriarty put Summit up 4-2 and Szynal scored 30 seconds later to give Summit a 5-2 lead at the half.

    Summit pulled away in the 2nd half as Catherine Cordrey score three goals, Szynal notched two more goals for a game five high goals and Isabel Zachara and Julia Persche each scored once. A very convincing win.

    Won 6-5 Although Summit struck first, with a goal by Catherine Cordrey, Ridgewood dictated play in the first half. The Maroon outshot Summit 9-2 in the first half and ended the half with a 3-1 lead.

    Despite Ridgewood's strong play, Summit stayed in the game because of timely saves from All-State goaltender Kady Glynn.

    Cordrey once again opened the scoring in the second half. However the two teams traded goals and Ridgewood maintained its two goal lead, 5-3, with 16:33 left.

    Cordrey cut the lead to 5-4 when she converted on a free position shot inside the near post on a man-advantage with 10:31 left. The teams traded chances however nobody scored until Callie Humphrey knotted the score at 5-5 on a free position shot five-hole with 1:45 left. Then with 3.4 seconds remaining Julia Persche, just out of the penalty box, scored to give Summit the victory. Glynn had a big game with 11 saves.

    Saturday, Jun 6 TBD Kean Univ. TOC Finals vs. Oak Knoll Lost 11-10 Summit lost a heartbreaker to crosstown rival Oak Knoll in a seesaw battle. Two minutes into the game Callie Humphrey drew first blood. Two minutes later OakKnoll tied the score. A minute after that Sara Szynal put Summit back on top. However, The next four goals would be by Oak Knoll to go ahead 5-2. Oak Knoll was significantly helped by winning the large majority of the face-offs. Over the next 5 minutes Summit rallied with two goals by Szynal and one by Cartherine Cordrey , but with one minute to go in the half Oak Knoll scored again to go ahead 6-5. Oak Knoll managed to sneak in another goal with only 3 seconds left in the half (7-5)

    Summit came out fast in the 2nd half, racking up three goals in the next 8 minutes (by Szynal, Cordrey and Humphrey) that put Summit back on top 8-7. Another pair of goals by Szynal were answered by Oak Knoll that left the score at 9-8 in favor of Summit mid-way into the 2nd half. Oak Knoll continued to take advantage of their success on face-offs (ultimately they finished with a 17-7 advantage ) and racked up two more goals to go back ahead 10-9. With 7 minutes left, Szynal scored her 6th goal of the game to make it a 10-10 tie. Sadly, that only lasted for 3 minutes before Oak Knoll scored again. In the final 2 minutes Summit turned the ball over twice and that killed their chances.
