Summit went to Springfield for its annual game against Dayton. In past years we have rarely won at Dayton’s home field. Today was quite another matter. Ben Lim, who owned the lowest ERA (1.58) of anyone on the pitching staff took the mound. He amply demonstrated why it is so low. He pitched the full 7 innings holding Dayton to a single run on only 4 hits. What is even more special he won without giving up any walks or hitting any batters. That’s stands out even more because the Summit pitching staff, as a whole, has averaged more than one free ride per inning. What’s more, Lim also struck out eight batters.

Summit’s offense was in high gear as it scored 15 runs on 14 hits. It was quite a performance. The box score really tells the story.
