Summit took advantage of 5 Johnson errors and good pitching by Kyle Kanaley to build a 6-1 lead going to the bottom of the 4th. Things went downhill in the 4th. Three walks and two singles brought in Tim Colao in relief with only one out. It took two more walks and a single before the inning was over and the score was tied 6-6. Matt Moremile took over the pitching duties in the 5th inning. Moremile pitched 3 hitless innings to shut down the Johnson offense.

In the top of the 7th back to back doubles by Alex Crane and Colao produced the winning run. Moremile set Johnson down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 7th and was credited with the Win.
