Summit traveled to Cranford for the penultimate regular season game. Cranford had given Summit a real battle in their meeting at Summit and the Hilltoppers were playing without Will Schaffer, their leading scorer. Schaffer had injured his ankle in the South Plainfield game.
Cranford had an amazing first half from three point land. Everything they threw up seemed to go in. When the half ended they had hit on 8 of 10 tries and 24 of their 32 points. However, Summit ended the half ahead by a point. The Hilltoppers got 10 points from Chip Roriston and 8 points each from Xavier McCormick and Paul Flanagan.
The Summit defense held Cranford to seven 3rd quarter points. Helped by the fact that the 3's stopped going in. So Summit started the final eight minutes with a 6 point lead. Summit played Cranford even in the quarter, led by six points from Justin Cise.
Roriston was the leading scorer with 17 points. McComick scored 13 points and Flanagan had 12 points. Roriston and Michael Kaelin each had 6 rebounds.
