The new season opened against Livingston and it was impressive. Both the offense and defense featured a very up tempo look with liberal substitutions that helped to sustain the tempo. Ten players saw action in the first quarter. Instead of the bench coming in after a there is a big lead, the bench helped build the lead. Eight players scored points in the 1st half. Summit grabbed a 5 point lead at the end of the 1st quarter with the scoring evenly distributed over seven players. Summit increased the lead to 9 points at the half. Will Schafer and Wayne White (ne.Wong) led the scoring with 8 points.
Livingston couldn’t keep up with the pace and Summit pulled away in the second half. Big scoring contributers in the 2nd half were Schafer with 8 of his game high 16 points, Michael Kalin with 11 points (14 total) and Jadin Jackson with 13 points (15 points total).
