Wednesday, May 11 4:30PM  Home Ridgewood  Won 7-6 Summit and unbeaten Ridgewood (14-0) met in one of the biggest games of the season. Ridgewood’s offense was very potent so it was important to limit their time of possession. Malcolm Feeney played a huge factor in denying Ridgewood the ball. He won the first faceoff and Summit kept the ball for the first 8 minutes of the game. However, the Ridgewood's defense held Summit scoreless and the quarter ended scoreless. Only in the 2nd quarter was Ridgewood able to win some faceoffs and they showed they were potent. They put up 4 goals to Summit’s one to go to the half ahead 4-1. Summit’s lone goal was scored by Evan Kulpan.

The second half was a different game. Summit would score five unanswered goals. After each goal Feeney won the face off, keeping the Ridgewood offence quiet. Jack Johnson scored the first of the five and then Andrew Chase scored four goals in he space of five minutes. Johnson would score again mid way in the 4th quarter to give Summit a 7-5 lead. Ridgewood scored with 57 seconds left, but Summit held on for the hard earned victory.

Wednesday, May 25 4:00PM  Home NJSIAA Sectional Semifinals vs. Ramapo
Lost 7-6 in double overtime. Summit realized they were in for a struggle when Ramapo struck first and traded goals on the way to a 4-4 halftime tie. Corey McManus scored twice and Jack Johnson and Andrew Chase each scored once in the half.

Things began to look better in the 3rd quarter when Chase scored the only goal of the quarter. With 7:11 left in the game McManus scored to give Summit a 6-4 lead. However, from that point on Ramapo turned up the heat. They really seemed to dominate the play, forcing many turnovers by Summit.

With a little more than 5 minutes left Ramapo’s strong play led to a goal that closed the gap to 6-5. Ramapo continued its forceful play and with under a minute to play they scored to send the game to overtime.

The first overtime was scoreless, but then the unthinkable happened. Ramapo scored to win and eliminate the Hilltoppers in the Sectional Semifinals. No one in the Summit stands could remember the last time Summit didn’t win the Sectional title
