Tuesday, Apr 12 4:00PM  Home Oak Knoll  Won 14-10 Summit, No. 2 in the NJ.com Top 20, played a tale of two halves as it knocked off No. 1 Oak Knoll in a 14-10 contest.

In the first half, Summit stumbled out of the gate, surrendering nine goals and at one time was down 9-3. Summit started a come back late in the 1st half but was still down 9-6 when the half ended.

Once Summit righted the ship, they played nearly flawlessly in the second half, holding Oak Knoll to one goal in the final 25 minutes. Meanwhile they connected for 8 goals.

Once the attack figured things out, the Summit defense was able to play with more confidence and no one proved that more than first-year goalie Maddie Collins. The junior made eight saves in her first big test since taking over for Kady Glynn, who was named the 2015 NJ.com Player of the Year.

Sara Szynal led the offence with 6 goals . Julia Persche scored 4 times and also had one assist. Cathrine Cordry had 3 goals and an assist. Callie Humphrey rounded out the scoring with one goal. Isabel Zachara and Kaleigh Brenan each had an assist,

  •  Saturday, Apr 30 1:00PM  Home St. Stephens St. Agnes  Lost 13-10 Summit, No. 6 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Top 25, went shot for shot with St. Stephen's and St. Agnes, No. 4 in the national ranking, early on, but fell into a hole as its opponent won the draws, collected ground balls and went on a four-goal run. The Hilltoppers would soon counter as Sara Syznal, Julia Persche, Catherine Cordrey and Callie Humphrey all found the net, but St. Stephen's and St. Agnes still walked into halftime with an 8-6 lead.

The second half turned into a back-and-forth affair for the most part, but Summit was able to shake up the contest as Maddie Collins made a few of her game-high 15 saves to help start a run.

After trading goals with St. Stephen's and St. Agnes for the first 15 minutes of the second half, Summit finally was able to put together back-to-back scores with Cordrey and Szynal each scoring for the third time in the contest. Szynal's third and final goal made it an 11-10 game with 8:22 left, but Summit was unable to regain control of the ball and make a legitimate offensive push afterward.
