| Gov. Livingston came out as a different team than was in Summit a few weeks ago. They turned up their defensive pressure. That pressure led to turnover after turnover and Summit shots under heavy pressure. They also double teamed Cassidy O’Malley every time she touched the ball. It was all quite successful. Summit managed only 2 points in the 1st quarter and 9 points, total, at the half.
The 3rd quarter slammed the door shut. GL out scoring Summit 21-8. Game over! The GL defense held O’Malley scoreless through the first 3 quarter. Who would have believed that could happen?
Christina Richson was Summits scoring leader with 12 points, O’Malley scored her 10 points in the final 8 minutes.
