There was a large crowd in Summit’s gym for the game with Oak Knoll. Most of them were there to see Cassidy O’Malley break the record for Most Career Points. That record belonged to Lindsay Burns who ended her Summit career with 1382 points 21 years ago in1995 . Early in the 2nd quarter that record belonged to O’Malley with 1383 points. By the end of the game it stood at 1388.

So much for the good news. Both teams were sluggish in the first half with Summit holding a 13-11 lead. Things really turned sour in the second half. Summit just couldn’t get their shots to drop. It didn’t matter whether it was an outside three or an uncontested layup, they just resisted going in. Meanwhile, Oak Knoll took advantage of the dry spell to out score Summit 33-20 in the final 16 minutes
