To some extent this was a replay of the Rahway game. As in the Rahway game, Summit entered the bottom of the 6th with a 7 run lead. Johnson scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th and added two more in the bottom of the 7th to win the game.

Matt Moremile was the starting pitcher and struggled, giving up 7 runs. Anthony Cusumano took over in the 4th inning with Summit on top 8-7. Summit batters added 6 runs in the top of the 6th inning to make the score 14-7. Johnson rallied in the bottom of the sixth tagging Cusumano for 6 runs (2 earned). The 7th started with Summit still on to 14-13. The bottom of the 7th started with a single and a hit batter. Trevor Mutolo took the mound with no outs. An infield error allowed the tieing run to cross the plate and a single produced the winning run for Johnson
