Summit travelled to New Providence and Will Schaffer got the start. Schaffer was at the top of his game in the first three innings as he completely shut down the Pioneers, racking up 8 strikeouts. In those same three innings Summit hammered New Provodence for 13 runs. It looked like clear sailing to a “Mercy” win.

However, things turned sour in 4th inning. The Pioneers scored a run and loaded the basses on a single and three walks. Kunal Sengupta came on in relief, He gave up 3 singles, each one scoring one of the 3 runners on base. One more run would score before the inning ended.
David Madina took the mound for the next two and didn’t any runs.

In the top of the 6th Owen Wilkins had single and Greg Vlass got on base via an error. With runners on 1st aand 2nd, Matt Moremile pinchhit an RBI single to restore Summit’s 10 run lead. Madina didn’t allow a run in the bottom of the 6th and the game was over,
