Early in the 2nd quarter Tyler teamed up with DJ Jackson on 3 passes that covered 57 yards and landed Summit on the Rahway 1 yard line. From there Tyler scored and Summit was back on top 14-7. Again Rahway answered back, covering 75 yards in 8 plays. However, Rahway missed the extra point. So Summit ended the half with 14-13 lead.

The tide seemed to be turning when Rahway took the 2nd half kickoff and drove from their 33 to a first down at Summit’s 7, in 7 plays. But the Summit defense rose to the occasion. After 3 rushes it was 4th and goal at the 2. The defense pushed Rahway back to the 10 yard line. Late in the 3rd quarter Summit had the ball at the Rahway 41. Murdock took the ball on a sweep left but suddenly pulled up and threw a perfect 41 yard pass to a wide open Andrew Miller and Summit on on top 21-13. It was the first time all season that Murdock had thrown a pass.

Murdock continued to dominate play in the 4th quarter scored on a 22 yard run and followed that up with an 80 yard run that showed him out running the very quick Rahway secondary. Wow what a performance.

Rahway would score a meaningless TD at the end of the game .
