Hanover Park had averaged 70 points per game in their first 3 games and they showed why against the Summit Hilltoppers. They drained 13 three pointers and when Summit closed the gap in the 4th quarter they hit 12 consecutive free throws.
Hanover Park opened an 8 point lead midway in the 1st quarter, Summit rallied cut the in half starting the 2nd quarter. Eight points by Will Schaffer helped Summit take a lead in the 2nd quarter, however, 3 straight 3 pointer allowed Hanover Park to end the half ahead 34-32. Summit played Hanover Park close for most of the 2nd half and was within 5 points mid way through the final quarter. But more treys and perfect free throw shooting by Hanover Park made the difference.
Chip Roiston had strong 2nd half and finished with 21 points. Will Schaffer led the first half scorng and finished with 19 points. Jackson Tyler was strong on the backboard with 10 rebounds.
