Lost 5-4 Summit was led by Pat White and David Parella with 2 goals each. Summit held SHP to 2 goals thru the first 3 quarters due to strong defensive play from Kevin Beatty and Harry Grange. Kevin Beatty led Summit with 4 ground balls. Owen McTernan finished with 6 saves. The team’s record is 0-1.
 Saturday, Apr 1 Away Westfield Won 11-6 The boys freshman lacrosse team rebounded from their season opening loss with an impressive victory over Westfield. Henry Muller and John Fischetti paced Summit with a combined 5 goals and 2 assists. Brendan Driscoll, Kyle Gettings, David Parella, Pat White, and Jacob Pantoya also notched goals for the Hilltoppers. Owen McTernan finished with 4 saves. The team’s record is 1-1.
Friday Apr 7 Home Middletown South Won 12-1 The boys freshman lacrosse team cruised to an easy victory over visiting Middletown South. Summit saw 6 different players score goals, led by Henry Muller’s 3. Summit’s defense was anchored by strong ground ball play from Kevin Beatty and Scott Cohen. Owen Mcternan finished the day strong with 3 saves.
Monday Apr 10 Away Chatham  Lost 5-4 The boys freshman lacrosse team fell to Chatham 4-5. Goals were scored David Parella, Henry Muller, John Fischetti, and Sam Roberts. Summit clawed their way back from a 3-1 deficit to take a 4-3 lead entering the 4th quarter led by a strong defensive effort from Harry Grange and Owen McTernan. Owen McTernan finished with 12 saves. The team’s record is 2-2.
 Tuesday, Apr 11 4:30 PM Home Bergen Catholic Won 7-6 The boys freshman lacrosse team outlasted Bergen Catholic 7-6 in an overtime thriller. Summit jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the 1st quarter, but BC managed to get their way back into the game, scoring the game tying goal with just 10 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter. Sam Roberts secured the ground ball that would lead to the game winning goal for the Hilltoppers. Henry Muller buried the game winner just over a minute into overtime. Muller finished with 3 goals, while Pat White was able to get 4 past the BC goalie. Owen McTernan had a stellar 4th quarter in goal, securing 5 saves and 8 total for the game. The team’s record is 3-2.
Thursday, Apr13 Away Sparta Won 7-5 The boys freshman lacrosse team bested Sparta 7-5. John Fischetti paced Summit with 4 goals, while Henry Muller and David Parella combined for Summit’s other 3 scores. Summit was especially efficient on the “man up” scoring 3 out of 4 times. Kevin Beatty led a strong defensive effort with 5 ground balls. Owen McTernan finished with 4 saves. The team’s record is now 4-2.
 Saturday, Apr 15 Away Ridge Won 7-4 The boys freshman lacrosse defeated Ridge 7-4. Pat White scored 3 goals, while Brendan Driscoll and John Fischetti each had 2. Henry Muller played an extremely unselfish game, dishing out 3 assists. Owen McTernan was lights out in goal, posting 4 big saves in the 4th quarter. Harry Grange, Theo Hodges, Justin Luckshire, and Charlie Allan all made big plays for the Hilltopper defense. The team’s record is now 5-2.
 Tuesday, Apr 18 Home West Morris Central  Lost 8-2 The boys freshmen lacrosse team fell 8-2 to West Morris Central. The Wolfpack stormed to a 7-0 lead midway thru the 2nd quarter before things started clicking for Summit. Pat White notched 2 goals before halftime, which brought new energy from the Hilltoppers. Both teams played a tight second half which yielded only 1 goal in favor to the Wolfpack. Brendan Driscoll led Summit with 4 ground balls and Owen McTernan had 4 saves. The team’s record is 5-3.
 Thursday, Apr 20 Home West Essex  Lost 5-4 The boys freshmen lacrosse team lost a nail biter 4-5 to Bergen Catholic. Pat White led the charge with 2 goals and an assist. Turnovers plagued Summit all day, keeping them from establishing an offensive rhythm. John Fischetti added a goal and 4 ground balls to keep Summit in the game during the second half. Owen McTernan finished the game with 4 saves. The team's record is 5-4.
 Saturday, Apr 22 Away Chatham  Won 3-2 (2 OT) The boys freshmen lacrosse team got its biggest win of the season thus far, defeating Chatham 3-2, in double overtime. While Summit had only about 3 minutes of possession in the first half, it was able to head into break down just 1-0, thanks to a stingy defense and a heroic effort from emergency goalie Spencer Myers. Myers tallied 8 saves in the first half and Chatham’s lone goal came on a “2 man up” situation. Summit was able to maintain much more possession in the 2nd half thanks to strong play in the midfield from Sam Roberts, John Fischetti, and Brendan Driscoll. Summit took the lead in the 2nd half off of goals from David Parella and Brendan Driscoll. With just over a minute left, Chatham scored, sending the game into overtime. Both teams had good chances in the overtime session, but strong defense and sound goalkeeping would remain the story of the game. Kevin Beatty came up with the crucial ground ball on the faceoff to start double overtime. From there, attackman Pat White was able to bury a shot past the Chatham goalie. Spencer Myers finished the game with 12 saves and the Hilltoppers emerged victorious. The team’s record is 6-4.
Monday, Apr 24 Home Don Bosco Won 7-5 The boys freshmen lacrosse team bested Don Bosco Prep 7-5. David Parella, John Fischetti, and Pat White each found the back of the net twice as a balanced offensive attack gave Summit their 2nd straight win. Kyle Gettings had a big game in the midfield helping in the clear game and picking up 4 ground balls. Spencer Myers finished the game with 3 saves. The team’s record is 7-4.
Wednesday , Apr 26 Delbarton Lost 14-1The boys freshmen lacrosse team fell to Delbarton 14-1. Henry Muller scored the lone goal for the Hilltoppers. Owen McTernan and Spencer Myers combined to make 10 saves. Summit was tested early and often by a very patient and technically sound Delbarton squad. The team’s record is now 7-5.
 Saturday, Apr 28 Ramapo Won 14-4 The boys freshmen lacrosse team defeated Ramapo 14-4. A total team effort saw 10 different players find the back of the net, led by Pat White’s 4 goals. Sean Groskoph had a strong showing in the midfield accounting for 3 crucial ground balls. Owen McTernan finished with 7 saves. The team's record is now 8-5.
Saturday April 29 St. Anthony (L.I.) Won 4-3 The boys freshmen lacrosse team held on to defeat St. Anthony’s of Long Island in the quarterfinals of the Connor Corish tournament. Brendan Driscoll, David Parella, Pat White, and Henry Muller each scored for Summit. Kevin Beatty and John Fischetti were dynamic on the wings, consistently making huge plays in transition. After a quarter that saw the Friars score 2 goals, Owen McTernan was lights out, accounting for 7 saves. The team's record is 9-5.
Monday, May 1 4:30PM Home Bridgewater-Raritan Won 11-4 The boys freshmen lacrosse team defeated Bridgewater-Raritan 11-4. David Parella led the Hilltoppers by scoring their first 5 goals of the game. Summit trailed 3-4 midway through the 3rd quarter before an onslaught of offense put Bridgewater away. Henry Muller and Pat White each scored 2 goals, while Kyle Gettings and John Fischetti tacked on one apiece. Owen McTernan finished the game with 18 saves. The team’s record is 10-5.
Friday, May 5 TBD Away Don Bosco Tournament TBA  Lost 10-2 The boys freshmen lacrosse team fell to Delbarton in the semi-finals of the Connor Corish tournament10-2. The Hilltoppers kept the game interesting for much of the contest, but Delbarton proved too much to handle. John Fischetti and Kyle Gettings each scored in the 2nd half. Owen McTernan finished with 8 saves. The team’s record is 10-6.
 Wednesday, May 10 Away Ridgewood  Lost 6-1 The boys freshmen lacrosse team lost to Ridgewood in their final game of the season, 1-6. David Parella scored the lone goal for Summit. Owen McTernan and Spencer Myers combined to make 2 saves on the day. The team’s final record will stand as 10-7.
