It was a cold windy afternoon in Kenilworth when Summit took on Brearley. Everything that could go wrong did. Five Summit errors and confused base running resulted in a sad loss. Anthony Cusumano was the starting pitcher and pitched a strong six innings. He gave up only two hits and one earned run.
Summit took a 1-0 lead in the 3rd . Will Gibson got on via a fielder’s choice, stole 2nd and scored on Will Helling's single. Summit added a run in the 5th. Hellings singled to strat the inning. He stole 2nd and scored on a single by Danny Isralowitz. Summit’s final run came in the 6th. Andrew Miller led off with a single Gibson drew a walk and Miller scored on an infield out.
Note: Miller, who started the season with a 6 game batting slump, has turned that around. His last 5 at bats (over two games) has resulted in 2 doubles and 2 singles
