Doubles: Reddy(1),Miller(1)
|
Summit met its nemesis Gov. Livingston at Memorial Field and, yet again, came up short. Alex Boburka got the starting nod and gave up only one hit through the first four innings. Unfortunately, two Summit errors allowed GL to score two unearned runs. In the bottom of the 4th doubles by Matt Reddy and Andrew Miller plus a single Justin Weiss allowed Summit to tie the game. It looked like it might be a real pitchers duel.
Unfortunately, Gov. Livingston added two more runs, only one of them earned. Entering the 6th Summit was behind 4-2. GL added another run to build a 5-2 lead. Summit started the bottom of the 6th with back-to-back singles by Danny Isralowitz and Reddy but a popup and a double play ended Summit’s last threat. Will Gibson took over in relief in the 7th and got the final 3 outs
