Summit took on a strong Johnson team looking to break a 4 game losing streak. Johnson had other ideas, scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning. Summit closed the gap in the 2nd. Justin Weiss singled with one out and advanced too 2nd on an infield our. He scored on a single by Michael Competiello. Andrew Miller doubled to drive in Competiello to make it a 3-2 game. After Johnson added a run in the 3rd Summit answered with 2 run to tie the game at 4-4. Matt Reddy was walked and Trevor Mutolo blasted a home run over the right field fence. Sadly, Johnson added fifth run in the fifth.
Summit had a chance to take the lead in the 7th. Competiello stroked a one out single and Miller had his 2nd double of the game to put runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. However a strikout and fly to center ended the game.
