lLinden came to Summit on a bitter cold afternoon and the fans were hoping for a 5 inning “Mercy” finish. It was close, but short by 1 run. Patrick Smolyn pitched the full 7 innings while striking out 9 batters and allowing only 5 hits.
The box score tells the story. Summit had 10 hits and 10 walks scored 10 runs and left 10 on base.
Note: Danny Isralowitz laid down his 3rd perfect bunt of the season for a hit.
