Summit took on Linden and the outcome was never in doubt. Summit jumped to a 6-0 lead after two innings and rolled to a 16-2 win. Patrick Smolyn got the start and pitched 3 2/3 innings. He left with a 7-2 lead having struck out 8 of the 11 batters he faced. Will Gibson pitched the last out of the 4th. Matt Reddy took the mound the final 3 innings and held Linden scoreless.
Linden’s pitchers were ineffective, giving up 13 base on balls and 11 hits as the box score attests.
