Hit batters: Hellings(1)
Midland Park jumped to a 7-3 lead after 2 innings but Matt Reddy settled down and gave up only one run over the next two innings he pitched. Meanwhile Summit exploded, adding 12 run over those same two innings. Once Midland Hills replaced their starting pitcher the bottom dropped out of their pitching. For example, at one point they walked 3 Summit batters in a row. When the dust settled Summit had racked up 10 runs and the score was 15-8.

Starting in the 5th inning Will Gibson took over in relief. He pitched 3 nice innings, giving up only one unearned run.

The stats tell the story.
