For the second game in a row Summit entered the 7th inning with a comfortable lead only to see it evaporate. Alex Boburka was the starter and pitched a strong game. When he left the mound with two outs in the 6th the score was 6-1. Then came the bottom of the 7th. Plainfield scored 5 runs before Anthony Cusumano came on in relief to get the last out of the inning.
In the 8th Summit scored the go ahead run when Emory Carlson was walked, Will Hellings singled and Mike Compitiello was walked to load the bases. A Plainfield error scored the the go ahead run. In the bottom of the 8th Cusumano put Plainfield dow 1-2- To gain the win.
