Doubles: Miller(1),Carlson(1)
|
This was a wonderful BASEBALL game. Alex Boburka needed only 61 pitches to shutout Rahway. Rahway came into the game with a 7-3 record. The starter for Rahway was no slouch as he allowed only 5 hits by Summit.
Summit scored 2 runs in the 4th. Andrew Miller started the 4th inning with a double. An error and a walk loaded the bases. A fielder's choice forced Miller at the plate but left the bases loaded. A single by Patrick Smolyn drove in one run and a fielder’s choice added the 2nd run. Summit added an insurance run in the 5th.
Through the first four innings Boburka had a perfect game going on only 40 pitches.
